Getting Help

Our primary support channel is email. Reach us at support@verifact.live and a human will respond within two business days.

When reporting an issue, please include your Zoom account email, the affected meeting ID (if applicable), and the approximate time the problem occurred. That makes it much faster for us to track down what happened.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I install VeriFact?

Open the Zoom App Marketplace, search for “VeriFact,” and click Install. Approve the OAuth permissions Zoom requests. VeriFact will then appear in your Zoom client’s Apps menu. Step-by-step screenshots are in the user guide.

  • Why didn't the VeriFact bot join my meeting?

The VeriFact Bot only joins after the host clicks “Activate VeriFact” from the Apps menu inside an active meeting. It usually appears within about ten seconds. If it doesn’t, check that your organization owner has not paused the integration and that your Zoom account still has the VeriFact app installed. If it still doesn’t join, email support@verifact.live with the meeting ID and approximate time.

  • How do I add reference documents for fact-checking?

An owner or admin in your VeriFact organization uploads documents from the organization settings panel. VeriFact accepts PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, and plain text files. These documents are the source of truth your meeting claims will be verified against.

  • Who in my organization can use the Q&A chat feature?

By default, organization owners and admins can use the in-meeting Q&A chat. Admins can grant or revoke per-meeting Q&A access for individual participants from the Participants tab in the side panel.

  • How do I uninstall VeriFact?

From the Zoom client: open the Apps menu, click the gear icon next to VeriFact, and select Uninstall. Or visit https://marketplace.zoom.us/user/installed, find VeriFact, and click Remove.

  • How do I request deletion of my data?

Email support@verifact.live from the address associated with your VeriFact account. We’ll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

  • What languages does VeriFact support?

VeriFact supports English at launch. Additional languages will be announced as they are validated.

  • Why was a claim marked UNCERTAIN?

UNCERTAIN means our verification pipeline could not find sufficient supporting or contradicting evidence in your organization’s reference documents to commit to TRUE or FALSE. The most common causes are: the relevant document hasn’t been uploaded, the claim is ambiguous, or the supporting passage is too indirect to score with confidence.

Reporting Security Issues

If you discover a security vulnerability in Verifact, please report it privately to support@verifact.live with the subject line beginning with “[security]”. Please give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address the issue before public disclosure.
